Summer football practice recorded from along the fence which is right on a major thoroughfare through town. Traffic noises, a singing bird, coaches' whistles and hollering are all audible. Would provide a decent background.

Near where i do many of my favorite nature recordings there are train tracks which can ocassionally be very busy -- and yes, sometimes they have interfered with some of my nature recordings. But, recently i recorded the sound of the approaching train carrying loads of coal. It was around dusk and breezy -- melancholy combination. . . . I really love the echo of the whistle. . . . And as i listened i could not help but think about 100 years ago when trains were more common, amazing how things change. Well, here it is. Kvgarlic.
